We are proud to honor and recognize the Veterans and active-duty service members within our Gattis community in three special ways:

⭐ Yellow Stars to Honor Veterans: Help us celebrate the Veterans and active-duty service members in your family by creating a yellow star to display in our main hallway. Write your loved one’s name and branch of service on a star. Firefighters and police officers are also welcome to be recognized. Blank stars are available in the main office. All stars must be submitted by Wednesday, November 4th at 3:00 PM.

🎖️ Veterans Slideshow & Community Recognition: We invite families to help us recognize their Veterans by completing the Veterans Recognition Form. Submitted information will be featured in a special slideshow shared through The Gator Gazette e-News and our campus TV announcements. The form closes Wednesday, November 4th at 3:00 PM.

🎵 Veterans Day Ceremony: Please join us on Wednesday, November 11th at 7:55 AM in the Gattis Cafeteria for our Veterans Day Ceremony, featuring a special performance by our 4th grade students. We look forward to coming together as a school community to honor those who have served our country. Families planning to attend are asked to complete the Veterans Day Ceremony Pre-Registration Form by Friday, November 6th at 2:00 PM.

Thank you to all of our Gattis families who have already completed the Free & Reduced Meal Application for the 2026-2027 school year! Your participation helps support important funding and resources for our entire campus.

We are asking ALL Gattis families to complete the application even if you do not believe your family will qualify or your child does not eat school meals.

As a reminder, the 30-day carryover period for students who were eligible for Free or Reduced meals during the 2025-2026 school year ended on October 5, 2026. Students who did not submit and receive approval for a new meal benefits application by October 2, 2026 have now transitioned to Paid meal status.

Completing the application does more than determine meal eligibility. The information collected helps Gattis secure funding for the 2026-2027 school year that supports ALL Gattis Gators including: academic programs, student support services, classroom resources and additional campus funding and resources.

Every completed application matters. The application is confidential and families only need to complete one application per household.

Please take a few minutes to complete the application today and help us secure the resources our Gators need to continue to Shine Bright.

Apply here: https://www.roundrockisd.org/page/free-and-reduced-meals

Every application helps strengthen Gattis. Thank you for partnering with us and investing in our Gators!
